About Jemma
My language learning journey began at a very early age when I was given a French picture dictionary which my mum would go through with me before bedtime. At school French and German were my favourite subjects and I continued this passion on to A-Level and University where I studied for a BA in French with Italian. I am a keen cyclist, baker and Francophile.
As an experienced teacher of nearly 20 years, I have experience teaching students of all ages and levels.
I have many years of experience teaching in the Adult education sector as well as working with home schooled students and students taking French as an additional subject outside of the school setting.
As a private tutor I share my knowledge and passion with children and adults who want to begin French, get help with school or exams or just have fun learning a new useful and enjoyable skill. I have a proven track record of improving grades from start to finish.
I am experienced in teaching all major exam boards (AQA, EDEXCEL and WJEC) for GCSE, IGCSE and A-Level as well as preparation for DELF A1-B1 level.
I work as an examiner and Team Leader for a major exam board during the GCSE exam period for the speaking and writing papers.
